Armory Center for the Arts

Armory Center for the Arts is the Los Angeles region’s leading independent institution for contemporary art exhibitions and community arts education. The Armory believes that an understanding and appreciation of the arts is essential for a well-rounded human experience and a healthy community. Armory exhibitions inspire dialogue around visual culture, contemporary life, and introduce contemporary visual art to Pasadena, Southern California, and beyond.

At the core of the Armory’s work is a deep commitment to social justice through arts education. The Armory programs year-round studio art classes for all ages at its Old Pasadena location, as well as education programs that integrate art with other core subjects at more than fifty elementary schools, community centers, and juvenile detention facilities throughout greater Los Angeles.

Armory galleries are open daily 12 to 5 pm (closed Tuesdays). Admission is always free. In addition to metered street parking, free parking is available for the first 90 minutes in the public garage directly north of the Armory. The Armory is adjacent to the Memorial Park Gold Line station.
