Santa Barbara Museum of Art
Gracing the very heart of downtown Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art presents an inspiring 5,000 years of human creativity. A rich assemblage spanning antiquity through modern and contemporary art, as well as exclusive exhibitions, make SBMA one of the West Coast’s finest art museums.
A remarkable permanent collection resides at SBMA, which features more than 27,000 exceptional pieces from across the globe, including a renowned Latin American collection; outstanding Greek, Roman and Egyptian antiquities; significant European and American works; and one of the finest Asian art collections on the West Coast.
In addition to its outstanding permanent collection, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art hosts special exhibitions that deliver innovative presentations of many of the world’s renowned artists and presents related programming that includes free family activities, as well as films, lectures, and other performances.
